Antonio Mozeto is a Brazilian photographer based in São Carlos, SP-Brazil. Antonio Mozeto’s photographic journey is defined by a profound connection to the territories he has inhabited and traversed throughout his life. Born in the rural interior of São Paulo state, he developed a keen eye for landscapes, vernacular architecture, rural communities, and the traces left by time on the land. Although he built a distinguished academic and scientific career, photography remained a constant practice of observation and reflection, eventually becoming his primary form of artistic expression in recent decades.
His work has gained prominence through solo and group exhibitions, participation in photography festivals, book publications, and national and international accolades. Highlights include projects such as Rurais, Novas Topografias, Minha Amazônia Pittoresca, Mundos Paralelos, and Assombrações—works that reveal an ongoing exploration of memory, landscape, belonging, and transformation.
Beyond merely documenting spaces and people, Antonio Mozeto constructs a visual poetics that transforms the landscape into an archive of human experiences.
